Gathering Dust — August 28, 2013
I always wonder about the omission of social class, especially when race and gender are paired. The relative inattention in the past to race and gender in social analysis - or the downright bigotry inscribed in earlier treatments - has long justified a changed emphasis, we're still omitting a dimension of inequality and injustice that leaves race and gender partial.
Then again, attention to class carries a very different degree of risk.
