Excellent point about "enlivening lectures" with visuals - I think the ability to use images to demonstrate concepts (instead of using powerpoints that just transcribe the lecture) is a huge advantage that comes out of the goldmine of stuff on SocImages, *plus* it allows people (like me) who aren't academics to see what sociological analysis looks like and add their own thoughts. SocImages is such a great resource, even if it turns out it was somewhat unintentional at the start!
