This nice Barbie and Ken from 1961 might be useful for demonstrating just how much the ideal masculine body has changed.
Look at those skinny legs!
and the almost-speedo!
for one thing, i think the ideal should have similarly colored legs...maybe that's just me, though.
He looks like an adorable and friendly guy I would date. I do like an even tan, though.
That’s actually a Midge doll, not Barbie.
My dad bought me that Barbie and I still have her on my dresser. He was on strike working for INCO but saved money to get her for my birthday. Most precious memories ever.
Barbie had a stripe black and white suit. Midge had a shirt hair cut black. Had them when I grew up
It isn’t Midge...It is Barbie. I had these
I have this Ken in new condition in the box
I love vintage Barbie and Ken dolls. I have the Barbie with 3 wigs. Her actual hair is molded plastic. Btw that is a Barbie, not a Midge. I had a Midge too.
This is a Barbie! I got her in 1961 when I was 10 years old. Barbies gone through a lot of changes. My sister got a Midge. She had a red hair flip.
