Nadia’s academic pursuits span a wide spectrum, with a particular focus on the contemporary manifestation of racism, stratification, inequality, Black identity construction, and the intricate domain of the Sociology of Sport. A central focus of her research is delving deeply into the nuanced processes of Black identity formation within the American sporting landscape. Additionally, she works to elevate the significance of sports within the realm of sociology and is dedicated to contributing to the existing body of knowledge in Sociology of Sport, with the goal of illuminating the mechanisms through which sport functions as an institution that perpetuates and reinforces systems of inequalities.
