Eleanor Nickel (she/her, identifiable by her rotating assortment of baseball caps) is a first-year Ph.D. student at the University of Minnesota Department of Sociology. Her sociological research interests lie within the examination of racial identity through the lens of linguistic discrimination, as well as incarceration and punishment.
