I guess it wasn’t easy to survive when the Japanese started bringing in their bikes, but now Harleys are rather iconic. Car companies didn’t have it easy either because of the perception that Japanese cars were more reliable and efficient.
Harley Davidson’s have earned their place in the history books and that is exactly where they belong! Put the 1920′s designed radial twin up against Honda’s flat 6 cylinder and you will soon see the difference! There is no way in Hell that a simple-minded engineer from Americas asshole schools could never design let alone prefect and produce a sophisticated bike engine like the Honda flat-six miracle! Just look at what the morons did to the American Automotive industry! They lost it to the Asians! Our schools in America rate 32nd in the world by our own President’s admission! How can we possibly compete in engineering! Our sale folk fine nostalgia makes for easy sales so we go out and buy and anachronistic piece of history, Made in America? Like Hell! Most Harley parts, especially the carburetors come from Japan, China, Taiwan, but the sales room liars will never tell you that!
