Sarah Catherine Billups is a graduate student in sociology at the University of Minnesota. Her research areas include culture, gender, and homeownership. Sarah Catherine is an Interdisciplinary Doctoral Fellow at the Minnesota Population Center. She is also involved the Sociology department’s Kids’ Involvement and Diversity Study (KIDS), a multi-method project on children’s extra-curricular activities. Her dissertation work investigates why single women buy homes more than single men do. In her free time, “S-Cat” is a segway tour guide and DIY guru.
