From a recent article on men’s increasing comfort with wives who make more than them:
The cartoon summarizes the article nicely – it’s fine for women to make more as long as it doesn’t cause them to slack off in other domains and expect men to pitch in on “domestic responsibilities.”

I actually initially read this cartoon as a "reasons to encourage kickboxing classes" illustration, because that husband totally deserves a good swift kick to the head. I am actually a lot like this woman: at the end of the day, I've done four loads of laundry and vacuumed the whole house and respackled the ceilings and "landed the Hollister account" with my self-run business. With that in mind, I have to say that the phrase "What's for dinner" alone is a big red have-a-fight button for me - and my favored response is always "I don't know - what are you making?" with an implied "jackass" at the end. The expectation that I will not only have something planned but will also be on my feet and ready to cook it when my fella decides it's time to eat is just plain insulting.
