Usually when we get submissions about ejaculation imagery we add them to our existing post on the topic. But I felt this was worth its own post. The Huffington Post has a link to this lovely Dutch commercial:
Often when we see ejaculation imagery, it’s at least somewhat subtle, or anyway not so blatant–the fluid isn’t white, or it comes out of a bottle instead of appearing to so clearly be associated with, or near, an actual penis.
In another example of ejaculation imagery, Dangger and Dmitriy both sent in a supposed German Sprite ad making the rounds…but for the record, AdFreak says it’s fake. [I also did quite a bit of googling about the Dutch ad, just to be safe, but didn’t find anything indicating it’s not real.]
UPDATE: Reader Jody B. says, “The Dutch commercial is real; I lived in Amsterdam from almost 4 years and saw it on daytime television.” Thanks for letting us know!

Because there's nothing consumers love more than seeing a woman's face splashed with semen.

Darn it I can't see it.

I live in the Netherlands, and I've never seen it on tv. And seeing as Friesche Vlag is a pretty prestigious brand and would never use imagery like that, you can be pretty much assured it's fake.

God forbid the situation was reveresed. Can you IMAGINE the outrage? Sexism is still alive and well, worldwide.

Wow this is really unbelievable. I can't read Dutch, but I'm assuming the tagline is "So good you'll think it's semen!" Cuz all the chicks love our splooge right bro? WOOOOOO!!!!

I haven't been able to see any videos posted on the site for the past week or so. Not sure if it's my machine or yours...

Haha. I've seen this one 'World's Worst Commercials" or something similar. Here's another recent ad with some more subtle but still somewhat confusing ejaculation imagery.

Can't the Sprite company sue over that fake ad? I would not want my company associated with that.

I agree with Dutchgirl, the company Friesche Vlag wouldn't air this on TV, it doesn't fit their style. According to http://www.marketingfacts.nl/berichten/virale_uiting_friesche_vlag_goed_bekeken/ it's a viral marketing campaign done for Friesche Vlag a company called POSTV.
POSTV has a press release on their site here: http://www.postv.nl/persberichten/110406_online_koffiemelkfilmpje_megasucces.pdf . It claims the ad, which was posted on YouTube, was a success with over 45000 views in just three days. Translating the second paragraph:
"Marjo Vaessen, Marketing Manager Branded Ambient
Friesland Foods [parent company of Friesche Vlag] Western Europe: "The viral marketing approach is part of our PR strategy: using a different way of presenting our new coffeemilk cup to our target audience. POSTV developed this to express in a funny way the thing we want to convey:
spilling coffee milk is no more with our new Easy Open cup.
By making this part of the campaign viral and [not sure what they meant by "triggerend", shocking/stimulating maybe] POSTV managed to create a good buzz that reached a big online audience."

What I find odd about this— apart from the total unnecessary-ness of the imagery— is that they're advertising an "easy open" mini-creamer... that is apparently just as hard to open (neatly) as every other mini-creamer.
When they show the actual container at the end, you see that it really is different from the regular type. So somebody at really did do some work to try to design an easier-to-open container. Okay, that's cool— the fact that they tend to spray everywhere has always been a peeve of mine.
But not only does this advertisement fail to make this rather simple point, it goes to quite a bit of trouble to make precisely the opposite point. I guess the idea of randomly splashing virtual semen in the face of some woman (yet again) was more interesting/amusing/delightful/logical than, y'know, doing their jobs?
Also, gotta love that (once again), the woman seems to be pretty much fine with it. A bit surprised, maybe, but fine with it. Whereas, if someone purposely sprayed anything in my face, I'd be fairly pissed. Because: WTF?? What are you, 5?
