Before Sociological Images was widely read (when it was just us and our friends), we used to occasionally title posts “Sigh.” But these days, what with people following us on twitter, we must offer more imaginative titles. But really, my instinct was to title this with good ol’ resignation:
Via Racialicious.

You mean "segue," right?

Maybe she was attempting to connect the way that "Low Rider" may be perceived in a stereotypical manner as connected to Latinos, to "shattering some of the stereotypes about Latinos".

Or the fact that War was a multi-racial funk band known for it's eclectic and heavily Latin/Reggae-inspired tunes. (I know it's crazy to think maybe a talking head knows a little something about music, but it's possible. Crazier things have happened...)
I think I was more confused about the "Segway" thing. I really expected that to be a pun for a clip about those stupid scooters. Guess not.

Ha ha, should've gone with "Sigh" after all.

So what are we supposed to be outraged about? There are plenty of clips of male newscasters making idiots of themselves, just peruse Failblog.org and see what they have on offer, such as these from the most recent 4 pages:

Now, if you want to talk about stereotyping Latinos and then going on to proclaim CNN is 'shattering Latino stereotypes', I can agree with that.

Is this video from a television show? Canadians like me can't watch Comedy Central clips. Could you give me the title of the show so I can look it up on the Canadian equivalent of Comedy Central?

Since I'm not using audio, I have no idea what's going on here. Deaf people are going to be similarly confused. Could you caption things like this so we have some idea of what's up?

Could she saying that because the song playing is the theme song for George Lopez's TV show?
