Yeah, not so much anymore. Anthropologists are running out of undiscovered traditional societies and are increasingly horning in on the modern society turf of sociologists. Jennifer James describes a football game as two tribes of men chasing a pig bladder, the winners of which gain access to the fertile females cheering on the side. It's fun for awhile, but using a tribal metaphor to interpret everything in modern society has its limits.

Anthropology and sociology are closely related to each other. It is very difficult to distinguish between the two disciplines. Both the disciplines have certain common areas of study. Sociology studies human beings in relation to their fellow human beings, whereas anthropology studies human beings in relation to nature.
