Joanna S. sent us a link to an application designed by Jonathan McIntosh where one can “re-mix” toy commercials aimed at boys versus girls. You choose the visuals of one and the sounds of another, and have fun watching the wackiness. We can’t embed the fun results, but you might enjoy visiting and playing a few for fun.

The video for We Did It Dora syncs up nicely with the audio for Iron Man Toys.

It's a somewhat common problem on the interwebz to link the wrong anchor text, when providing a hyperlink. And you do it here with your Kaltura link, Lisa. By making only "Kaltura" the anchor text, it implies that you are linking us to just the general Kaltura site, and we will have to find this specific content ourselves (which is misleading because that's not what you're doing). In fact, you're giving the link to the actual content. Because of that, in this case, any of the following from your original sentence would be preferable, more representative anchor text options: "a link to a website at Kaltura", "a link to a website", or even just "a link" are all better options that more accurately show where the link goes.
I swear I'm not trying to be pedantic. I just think it's generally a lot more helpful and useful for the anchor text to represent what the real content of the link is. So, please hear this advice in that context.

I love this! My favorite is the My Little Ponies Convertible as the imagery with the Tonka Mod Machines as the sound. It works SO well!

So many of these work so well! This does a great job of emphasizing the gendered nature of toy ads, as well as the artificial and repetitive structure of ads in general. Also it is HILARIOUS.

The website doesn't seem to work anymore...

I didn't realize until this that the commercials have very similar beats to them. They're basically all the exact same format so that the audio syncs up bizzarely nicely with the video.

Also, my fave might be Electronic Battleship video with Dora's "We Did It" audio.
