This man, Donny Deutsch, host of CNBC’s Big Idea, helpfully tells the rest of us what the “new feminist ideal” is. Hillary Clinton’s problem, he explains, is that she “didn’t put [on] a skirt.” Enjoy:

All week long I have been throwing up a little in my mouth. After this, it came out all the way.

Ha! My thoughts exactly, Pamthropologist. Seriously, if you didn't know he was talking about a candidate for VP, you'd think he was talking about prostitution.

This is wrong on more levels than I can count. That's all I can say right now.

Okay, I thought of something to say. The way that this guy is using the word "feminist" in the phrase "new feminist ideal" is like nothing I've heard before. Nothing he is saying has anything to do with feminism, as far as I can see.
Not that I'm saying feminism should be constrained by political party, but considering how the Republicans have consistently taken the anti-equal pay, anti-opportunity, anti-reproductive choice stance, I would say that would have to limit their appeal to feminists somewhat!
Then again, I was surprised to learn that feminism is a religion so what do I know?
On a side note, I wonder if Palin is willing to be VP for 66% of what Cheney makes for doing the same job?

What did that guy consume too much of before this interview? Seriously, he seems a bit too excited and apparently has no concerns about saying anything stupid or babbling incoherently (men want to mate with cereal? Huh?) but then again the graphic does say "Squawk on the Street" so we shouldn't be expecting quality content anyhow.
And how ironic is it that he called it a "seminal moment?" He even said it with a perfectly straight face.

So... basically US men can handle a "woman in power" as long as she is sexy... how is this different from anything that has gone before ... and how does this alter gender politics in any way... as far as I can see it runs perfectly in the discource - the token beautiful woman who can rise to power because she still fits the patriarchal ideal of mother-lover - not because she has any internal merit in herself (not a comment about palin's skills, by the way, I don't know enough of her accomplishments to be able to critique her)... aaargh.... I just want to hit something now...

More like Donny Duche.
Maybe if Hilary wore a skirt? True, she would have been so more capable of running our country if she wore a skirt! How ridiculous.

Putting the feminist problems aside, I really enjoyed the dismissive why he said "issues"..."ah, issues, politics, whatever, I just know that she's a MILF"
