New (or new to me) body modification trends (the first four found here):
Look like a dragon (found here):
Likes spikes (found here):
Eyebrows (found here):
Boob job (found here):
This one is braille (found here) :
It might be interesting to discuss the different reactions to the body modifications… that is, people might think the braille one is kind of sweet, but the boob job one as disgusting. How do we decide which body modifications are good or bad, neat or stupid, etc?

Victoria Pitts, a sociologist at CUNY, wrote a book about this, entitled "In the Flesh: The Cultural Politics of Body Modification."

You don't decide.
We don't decide.
Each person decides for his or her self. It's not up to you to approve what others do with their bodies.

I believe that's the point - how do our _subjective_ views come about? Obviously the people who had these modifications thought they were a good idea - I doubt Lisa missed that. So the question is: How do our individual views come about on such matters/how are they shaped by our culture and society?
The braille vs eyebrows for example: to me, and I'm sure to a fair amount of people (out of those who don't disapprove of any modification) would apply positive attributes to that one, but not the same set to the eyebrows. Even if they're both positive, they're not likely to be the same. Why?
