Here’s an ad for breast implants: Clearly in this situation the solution is to get breast implants, not a new date. The company’s website is here. This ad encourages women to be envious of “perfect” women and to compare themselves unfavorably: Try plastic surgery if your eating disorder doesn’t do the job: The center is still in business, but I think a different doctor is in charge now.

I thought it was particularly interesting that they say "no visible scars" -- implying that there are scars and they just hide them in areas that can be covered by clothing. Of course, when you're naked with a lover, they will be visible.
Also, they fail to disclose that breast implant surgery often leads to loss of feeling in the breasts, but hey, its not about her pleasure anyway, right?

You can starve yourself. you can spend hours at the gym.
This one really bothered me, because it encourages the anorexic look that we are (hopefully) trying to rid ourselves of. When will people learn that body fat doesn't always have to be a flaw? Did you notice how skinny the shadow girls where? In my opinion, if they'd loose any more weight, they'd acctually have to fatten themselves in order to have energy to do anything else than sit still and look pretty.
I think it would be better if they tried to encourage looking healthy instead of just skinny skinny.

I laughed out loud at "It's your choice, to be or not to be" Mostly because I'm a Shakespeare geek, and those words have been sucked of meaning enough, but now they're telling me to get plastic shoved in my boobs?!?!?!
Jesus. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
