Dehumanizing women; women as toys, useful only for fucking; women as interchangeable:
By the way, on the back it says: “Isn’t that why women have more than one hole?”
Here it is in a pillowcase:
Different take, same message:
Trivialization of rape:
Glamorization of violent sex and the priviliging of men’s sexual pleasure:
Trivialization of relationship violence:
This last one says: “I like my women like my chicken, battered.”

cool t-shirts :) however, it is sad truth that you cant pick anyone up wearing that.

Brilliant! While I agree that a couple of those shirts are over the line, most of them are hilarious. I mourn for your late sense of humour, but thanks for sharing with the rest of us. I can't believe I found these awesome shirts thanks to a bitter feminist. :D

I totally would. Wow you take yourself way to seriously. Some of those are really funny. And just so you know, I have actually been a rape victim before, so don't try to throw that angle at me. Some things are just... so wrong they are funny, like a shirt I saw once that said Necrophilia, pop open a cold one.... lol
viv — June 24, 2009
how depressing to see so many idiots defending these t-shirts. i'm so tired of morons using the "sense of humor has been lost" argument to cling to repulsive opinions towards gender/race/sexuality/etc.
and samantha - "don't try to throw that angle at me". hmmm. makes me wonder if you're either lying - which would be disgustingly depressing - or you're dealing with your trauma by pretending to be so over it, you can laugh about it - and that's depressingly sad. but let's say you really do find rape jokes funny, though you yourself were a victim - see, that's YOU. i happen to have some sensitivity to the fact that if even just one rape survivor is hurt by a rape joke, it's wrong. fuck that - RAPE JOKES ARE WRONG - PERIOD.
this world is a sick, sad place - comments like most of the above only serve to remind me of this. i need to stop reading the comments sections on websites. *sigh*

"Wow you take yourself way to seriously." Really? There is no possible way any victim of sexuall assault can find these funny. And being a victim of rape is not something that you can be at one time or another, it is something that stays with you as a constant. I can understand the 12 year old boys with there comments on bitter feminists (as if not finding rape lolzerpops funny is indicative of being bitter) and their ignorance, but i cannot understand why someone would pretend to have been a victim of sexual assault in order to validate her opinion.

@mememe: "but i cannot understand why someone would pretend to have been a victim of sexual assault in order to validate her opinion."
I hope everyone can forgive me for essentially putting words in mememe's mouth (rude at best at all times, but esp so in a thread that's essentially about depriving over half the human race of agency), but...
I'm guessing mememe can actually perfectly well "understand" just why someone would pretend to be a rape survivor in posting a "get over it" message on a thread about rape "humor."
It's the same totally transparent rhetorical BS move taken by every 2nd or 3rd wingnut poster on threads on lefty sites and/or w/any lefty topic, when they claim that they "yoostabee" a Democrat / liberal / progressive / whatever, but now they're not because those darn leftists / Democrats / whatevers went too far over 9-11 / Iraq / taxes / federal deficit / abortion / global warming / and/or our obviously-Kenyan-Muslim-socialist-traitor-usurper of a President.
What mememe can't do -- and rightfully so of course -- is accept that such a move will "validate" anything except the fact that the poster thinks we're as dumb as they are.
Oh, and of course the fact that the poster realizes they've got no argument at all other than "I'm [pretending to be] one of the people who's supposed to be offended by this, yet I am not offended, so nobody else's offense has any basis, because my thoughts / feelings / responses are clearly the only ones that matter."

In one sense, yes, these shirts trivialize certain things. In another sense they bring poignancy to some real issues. Also to some nonissues (because whose business is it what consenting adults really do behind closed doors?).
I, for one, am a combat veteran of both the Iraqi and Afghani conflicts. I'm currently a law enforcement officer in a small city (of approximately 500 000). My father physically abused my mother during their marriage and the incident which finally drove her to leave was his abuse of me. My mother is the strongest woman I know and always has been, and I respect her immensely. The "I like my women like my chicken" shirt would draw her ire only for its lack of tact and poor taste. But a T-shirt with such a slogan does not make someone an abuser any more than wearing a shirt with an S in a pentagon makes them a superhero.
I've looked through this site and I've seen quite a bit about the degradation of women, the abuse of women, domestic violence against women, etc. Not once have I seen a single topic about domestic violence against men. And yes, it happens. Yes, it leads to serious injuries and death. But the entire slant of this site is rather apparent: let's neuter all men and women will run the world.
Another thing we don't see here is the evaluation of the change of the gender role in society. We don't see that 500 years ago women were effectively property in the majority of the "civilized world." We don't see that now society accepts the woman's right to voice, and that a female presidential candidate made a decent showing just last year. We don't see that the social role of men has become much more effeminate.
You want to bring sexism to the table, then by all means do so. But if you don't want to be seen as an extremist then bring the entire issue to the table. Women are not required to sign up for selective services, and therefore are safe from any military draft. In a divorce women are more than 5 times as likely to retain custody of the children. Do you suppose these facts are fair?
alphagirl — November 27, 2009
While those facts may not be fair, they are not made light of the way gender violence is. Women do not wear shirts broadcasting the fact that they are five times as likely to keep their kids in a divorce, but men do wear shirts making light of gender violence and rape. The fact that some women pretend to find these things funny is what really saddens me. If we are not united to defend eachother against the stigma of being a "feminist" (which is supposedly the worst thing in the world) then we will continue to be physically and emotionally oppressed by certain males. I was raped and never said anything about it for fear that the boy who did it to me and his friends, plus all of the girls in school would make fun of me and blame it on me. That is not the environment we should have our kids growing up in.

This is some funny stuff. Apparently the Original Poster and a several commentators are bitter unhappy people unable to enjoy shock humor. Shock humor is funny because it is wrong. Also that negative speech they use shows a very condemning attitude toward people who are unlike them, ie happy, lighthearted and able to take a joke.
Tell me to get a life if you like, but I already enjoy every day and have friends who say I am a positive aspect of their life. I would say as a rebuttal, "enjoy being a Debbie Downer", but then again that statement would contradict itself.
