Hollie Nyseth Brehm received her Ph.D. in the Department of Sociology at the University of Minnesota. She studies human rights and law, international crime, representations of atrocities, and environmental sociology. Her dissertation examines the conditions and courses of genocide in Bosnia, Rwanda, and Sudan. Hollie was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and is a former grad board member of The Society Pages and Contexts Magazine.
Now the chair of the board of directors of Heritage Academy of Science and Technology and volunteers as a quantitative research mentor with the Center for Victims of Torture, Hollie Nyseth Brehm is a professor of sociology at The Ohio State University.
