I hope Clinton isn't tapped for a position or that she declines. We don't have enough women in the Senate for her to walk away from a seat.

Re anniegirl's understandable concern: one of the main names being floated for the possible NY senate vacancy if Hillary Clinton becomes secretary of state is Rep. Nydia Velazquez, currently serving her 8th term in the House and representing New York's 12th district. In 1992, Velazquez became the first Puerto Rican woman elected to the U.S. Congress.
