O.M.F.G! I’m speechless. The cat, the kitten, and I are all doing a happy dance and listening to the roar of voices outside our window here in NYC.

I know. I'm too stunned to even be excited. That will certainly pass... :-) Yay!
(Not thrilled about the same-sex marriage initiatives, though...Cali is still a toss-up, but Arizona and Florida are pretty much lost...)

It's awesome. I've never been so proud of our country.
Now just hoping California does the right thing and rejects Prop 8.

People are honking in beat "one two three, one two three" "o-ba-ma, o-ba-ma" as they drive down my street. Teenagers are banging pots "o-ba-ma, o-ba-ma." Small fireworks are going off into the night sky. This is a magical experience.

Everyone should think about the incredible meaning of tonight for all those, Black and White, who fought for civil rights for African Americans but are no longer with us. And for older African Americans who remember the days of Jim Crow, who lived through the civil rights struggles and the killing of Dr. King, and who have seen something happen tonight that I suspect many never thought they'd see in their lifetimes.
