Interesting convo going on over at Broadsheet about this poster, which the ladies at the Bust blog love and the Broadsheeters, not so much. Where do GWPenners weigh in, I wonder?

I have a great pin from the Reagan era that says "Yes means yes." I love it, probably more than that poster. I unfortunately lost my pin from the same era that said "Just say 'No thank you.'"

I'm posting this on behalf of Julia Barry. Writes Julia:
"As aesthetically great as this ad is, I think I'd have to weigh in more on the Broadsheeters' side of things...
It's great to be able to riff off of all the sexist actions and conversations this election has brought to a head to make a point--but I don't like the idea that yet another cheeky comment about feminism has been added to the fray (and by women, no less). This add disappointingly suggests that sexual activity is still the most powerful way a woman can speak. (Not to mention that it also completely plays to a heterosexual paradigm, entrenching sexual politics more and excluding lesbian women!)
Then again, perhaps I should un-wad my panties and be psyched that women are taking *such* a stand in this election that perhaps we can afford to joke about our gender role issues. Are we really there yet?"
