alas. classism fails to incite the same fervor as other isms. because as we all know, while you can't pick your gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, weight, etc., if you're poor it's because you're lazy! Just work harder, damn it. There are absolutely NO systemic obstacles that in any meaningful way do anything to make it remotely more difficult for an individual from a low income background to access exactly the same opportunities as someone from a high income background. Privilege is NOT a language and experience is NOT a form of capital.
