Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz\u00a0<a style=\"color: #1155cc;\" href=\"http:\/\/money.cnn.com\/2014\/11\/09\/news\/starbucks-ceo-washington-dysfunction\/\" target=\"_blank\">has a new book<\/a>\u00a0and A&amp;E\u00a0<a style=\"color: #1155cc;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/2014\/11\/09\/dogs-war-ae-makes-reality-show-about-veterans-struggling-with-ptsd\/\" target=\"_blank\">a new reality show<\/a>, and the social science shows why we want to pay attention to veterans after they return from service. For example, the G.I. Bill offered a wide range of education and housing benefits, but historic racial inequality in civilian institutions often made it harder for vets of color to collect those benefits. Today, female vets are more likely to face unemployment than males.
