Here are some resources:<\/h2>\n<p>One of my <a href=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/toolbox\/climate_justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previous posts<\/a> explores the variation in the causes and consequences of climate change. Below, the emissions of select nations on a per capita basis from 1960 to 2013 are updated. We see that different nations have contributed different levels of emissions to the problems we currently face and will continue to deal with for at least the rest of this century. This is the foundation of the arguments of climate justice.<\/p>\n<h2>There is vast inequality in the CAUSES\u00a0 of the problem of climate change.<\/h2>\n<p>I also recently did a TEDx talk on climate justice that provides a brief overview of climate justice. Even before the election of Trump and the appointment of Scott Pruitt to head the EPA and former Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State, members of PACJA doubted that the US would reduce their emissions, provide sufficient\u00a0finance or transfer sufficient technology.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/toolbox\/african-civil-society-climate-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1849 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/toolbox\/files\/2016\/11\/Screen-Shot-2016-11-15-at-9.06.14-PM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1816\" height=\"854\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/toolbox\/files\/2016\/11\/Screen-Shot-2016-11-15-at-9.06.14-PM.png 1816w, https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/toolbox\/files\/2016\/11\/Screen-Shot-2016-11-15-at-9.06.14-PM-300x141.png 300w, https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/toolbox\/files\/2016\/11\/Screen-Shot-2016-11-15-at-9.06.14-PM-768x361.png 768w, https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/toolbox\/files\/2016\/11\/Screen-Shot-2016-11-15-at-9.06.14-PM-1024x482.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1816px) 100vw, 1816px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/toolbox\/african-civil-society-climate-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a> to read the full post and see more figures of the results.<\/p>\n<h2>It is not just in the causes of climate change that we see inequality, but also in the consequences.<\/h2>\n<p>Wealthy, developed nations have the resources and infrastructure to better buffer the negative consequences of climate change (see my\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OJIuKj6yUwc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TEDx talk<\/a> above for some examples).
