Scott&#8217;s article details his <a href=\"http:\/\/condor.depaul.edu\/ethnodoc\/matrimony\/\">ethnographic short film<\/a> centered on the marriage of two homeless heroin addicts. He encourages readers to explore their\u00a0biases on what\u00a0a marriage is or should be by asking of this couple, &#8220;Is this a real marriage?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5148\/5611052498_53e9c4e868_m.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Homeless couple, April 9 2011\" \/>This article and short film would would fit well in many types of courses: on the family, marriage, sexuality, poverty, or drug use.<\/p>\n<p>Have students <a href=\"http:\/\/contexts.org\/articles\/winter-2011\/matrimony\/\">read the article<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/condor.depaul.edu\/ethnodoc\/matrimony\/\">watch the film<\/a> before class, and write a short reaction paper.
