&#8220;neutral&#8221; avatar<\/a> for appearing both white and male.\u00a0 Both Abby J. and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.noahbrier.com\/quickies\/2009\/04\/illustrating_anonynimity.php\" target=\"_blank\">Noah Brier<\/a> pointed us to the fact that Rob Walker at Murketing has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.murketing.com\/journal\/?p=3098\" target=\"_blank\">collecting default avatars<\/a>.\u00a0 His collection is really interesting.\u00a0 First, it demonstrates that the avatars don&#8217;t need to be gendered at all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Flikr:<\/p>\n<p \/><\/p>\n<p>This collection reveals that the appearance of a company&#8217;s default avatar is by no means inevitable or accidental.\u00a0 Companies must make choices and they are, indeed, making growing.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"> <\/span><\/strong>Jamie R. sent in a link to a video that presents a lot of attention-grabbing statistics (which may or may not be accurate).
