as &#8220;womenandchildren.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0 Speaking very generally, women and children, and perhaps especially womeandchildren,\u00a0are sympathetic characters in society in a way that men simply are not.\u00a0 Likewise, women and children often seem more deserving of assistance and charity\u00a0than men, who are expected to buck up and take care of themselves.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/stevewilsonblog.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stephen W.<\/a> found himself confronted with this\u00a0solicitation when making an internet purchase:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6812\" src=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2009\/02\/women27s20heart20disease1.jpg\" alt=\"women27s20heart20disease1\" width=\"488\" height=\"83\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2009\/02\/women27s20heart20disease1.jpg 488w, https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2009\/02\/women27s20heart20disease1-300x51.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 488px) 100vw, 488px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Stephen wondered why he would\u00a0want to &#8220;wipe out heart disease in women,&#8221;
