Type I is failing to reject a false hypothesis. \u00a0The hypothesis is wrong, but it looks right to you. \u00a0That&#8217;s a false positive.<\/p>\n<p>Type II is rejecting a true hypothesis incorrectly. \u00a0In fact, your hypothesis is correct, but your data suggests that it&#8217;s false.
