I&#8217;m reposting some of them here, but check out her <a href=\"http:\/\/nativeappropriations.blogspot.com\/2012\/07\/i-eat-stereotypes-like-you-for-breakfast.html\" target=\"_blank\">original post<\/a> for more.<\/p>\n<p>It started out with Calumet baking powder:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2012\/07\/calumet.jpeg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-50244\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2012\/07\/calumet.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Adrienne explains,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>In my head, I thought &#8220;I could make some stereotype biscuits for breakfast!&#8221; Which got me thinking. The &#8220;noble savage.&#8221; No wild eyes or big noses, just headdresses and Indian maidens. But when taken as a collective, is it any wonder that most people in the world think of Native peoples as headdress-wearing Plains chiefs or buckskin-clad Indian women?
