Olvera Street is a historic site\/tourist attraction that commemorates a pueblo founded in 1781.\u00a0 Some call it the birthplace of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p>The photo is of a sign pleading with visitors to behave.\u00a0 It is written in both Spanish and English but, as Dolores observes, the message in each language is slightly different (translation below).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2010\/11\/12.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-0\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-28787\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2010\/11\/12-768x1024.jpg\" width=\"457\" height=\"609\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2010\/11\/12-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2010\/11\/12-375x500.jpg 375w, https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2010\/11\/12.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 457px) 100vw, 457px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dolores explains:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Translation is mostly the same, with the exception of the part regarding the plants.
