We are condemned for being tech-obsessed, shallow, and impulsive.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Keiles, however, blames media itself for promulgating this stereotype, giving teens the message that their lives should fall within its boundaries.\u00a0 She&#8217;s hoping her project will make a difference.<\/p>\n<span class=\"ft_signature\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/lisa-wade.com\/\">Lisa Wade, PhD<\/a> is an Associate Professor at Tulane University.
