We’ve written several posts about how the words “nude” and “flesh” tend to be used to refer to colors associated with light-colored skin.\u00a0 For examples, see our posts on \u201cflesh-colored,\u201d<\/a> Michelle Obama\u2019s \u201cnude\u201d colored dress<\/a>, the new in-color<\/a>, “nude is the new black” (and by black we mean white)<\/a>, lotion for \u201cnormal to darker skin,\u201d<\/a> and color-assisted medical diagnosis<\/a>.\u00a0 Readers have sent in an additional example and several counter-examples.<\/p>\n
