{"id":20912,"date":"2010-03-20T10:54:14","date_gmt":"2010-03-20T15:54:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/?p=20912"},"modified":"2013-12-15T03:46:13","modified_gmt":"2013-12-15T08:46:13","slug":"younger-people-more-supportive-of-interracial-dating","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/2010\/03\/20\/younger-people-more-supportive-of-interracial-dating\/","title":{"rendered":"Younger People More Supportive of Interracial Dating"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Pew research foundation recently released some <a href=\"http:\/\/pewresearch.org\/pubs\/1437\/millennials-profile\" target=\"_blank\">data comparing generational cohorts<\/a>.\u00a0 Data on the acceptance of interracial dating shows that acceptance is increasing among all groups and is higher for each successive cohort:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/?attachment_id=20908\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20908\" title=\"pew-ir-dating\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/files\/2010\/02\/pew-ir-dating.gif\" width=\"272\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>C.N. Lee, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asian-nation.org\/headlines\/2010\/01\/racial-characteristics-attitudes-millennial-generation\/\" target=\"_blank\">Asian Nation<\/a>, interprets:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I am also not surprised that the Millennials are the most supportive of interracial dating, as the graph illustrates. However, in looking at the graph, it shows that somewhere around 2007, the approval rates for interracial dating actually declined slightly for Baby Boomers, Generation X, and the Millennials.
