This allows female high school and college students to get in on the Christmas gig that, in the U.S., is restricted to guys with (fake) beards. Apparently <a href=\"http:\/\/rt.com\/prime-time\/2007-12-29\/From_pagan_deity_to_modern_sex_symbol_-_Snegurochka_revealed.html?fullstory#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lots of students get holiday work playing her<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<span class=\"ft_signature\"><em><a href=\"http:\/\/lisa-wade.com\/\">Lisa Wade, PhD<\/a> is an Associate Professor at Tulane University.
