{"id":12518,"date":"2009-08-30T10:01:44","date_gmt":"2009-08-30T15:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/?p=12518"},"modified":"2012-10-17T02:37:31","modified_gmt":"2012-10-17T07:37:31","slug":"the-hate-f","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/socimages\/2009\/08\/30\/the-hate-f\/","title":{"rendered":"The Hate F@&amp;%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ever since it occurred to me a few years ago, I&#8217;ve been deeply disturbed the two meanings that the word &#8220;fuck&#8221; has in U.S. culture.\u00a0\u00a0We use the word when we\u00a0want to hurt someone really, really bad; and we use it to describe what may be the most physically\u00a0intimate thing two people can do together.\u00a0 The fact that the word has that double meaning, I think, speaks volumes about our fucked up relationship with sex.<\/p>\n<p>Illustrating this, Caroline H. pointed me to a June 2009 Playboy slideshow of\u00a0politically\u00a0conservative women that readers want to &#8220;hate fuck.&#8221;\u00a0 After protests, Playboy took the slideshow down, but RedState captured screen shots. You can see them all <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redstate.com\/absentee\/2009\/06\/02\/the-playboy-article-nsfw\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.
