{"id":908,"date":"2008-06-10T19:25:00","date_gmt":"2008-06-11T00:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/girlwpen.com\/?p=908"},"modified":"2008-06-10T19:25:00","modified_gmt":"2008-06-11T00:25:00","slug":"announcing-fall-2008-gwp-bloginar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thesocietypages.org\/girlwpen\/2008\/06\/10\/announcing-fall-2008-gwp-bloginar\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcing: Fall 2008 GWP Bloginar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The online <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Making It PoP: Translating Your Ideas for Trade <\/span>workshop is back!<\/p>\n<p>This fall, I&#8217;ll once again be offering a<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> 5-week hands-on seminar for researchers and academics on writing book proposals.<\/span>  This teleconference features guests from the publishing industry and is paired with an ongoing online web forum in the form of a closed class blog. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The course is designed to help researchers, scholars, and policy &#8220;wonks&#8221; bridge the translation gap. <\/span> I&#8217;ll encourage you to make bold observations, learn new tricks, and unlearn old ones\u00e2\u20ac\u201dlike hiding your voice behind footnotes or lit reviews, or subordinating yourself to your topic. You&#8217;ll learn why it&#8217;s essential to think about audience and market in a different way.
