So she forwarded with delight a spot-on column <a href=\"http:\/\/nplusonemag.com\/the-intellectual-situation-issue-15\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cThe Intellectual Situation\u201d<\/a> in <a href=\"http:\/\/nplusonemag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">n+1 <\/a>, a literary magazine that publishes social criticism, political commentary, and essays. The editors at <a href=\"http:\/\/nplusonemag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">n+1<\/a> begin:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Listen up, Ladies <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Every time a plane flies over New York, we think, \u201cOh my God\u200a\u2014\u200ais it another <\/em><em>Atlantic<\/em><em> think piece?\u201d We mean, \u201can <\/em><em>Atlantic<\/em><em> think piece about women.\u201d The two have become synonymous, and they descend upon their target audience with the regularity and severe abdominal cramping of Seasonale. \u201cWhy Women Still Can\u2019t Have It All,\u201d \u201cThe End of Men,\u201d \u201cMarry Him!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Read their piece all the way to its logical conclusion:<\/p>\n<p><em>So far, this strategy seems to be working. <\/em>The Atlantic<em> had its first profitable year in decades in 2010, and in 2011 made more than half its ad revenue from digital sales, while print ad sales were the highest they\u2019d been in years.
