Together, Mothers Are Powerful.<\/em><\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n

Last month\u2019s furor over the remarks of political pundits and candidate\u2019s wives launched a flurry of conversation among mothers.<\/p>\n

Mothers have a voice of their own to add to the discussion. Authors, activists and others have been writing and identifying the issues raised this political season for decades, and women have been listening, again and again.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for mothers\u2019 own voices to be heard.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are a bi-partisan coalition of women\u2019s organizations, experts, and writers who have diligently worked on bringing mother\u2019s issues into the mainstream political discussion.<\/p>\n

Some of us are advocates, and some are community organizations. Many of us are authors and experts about mothers\u2019 lives as well.\u00a0 All of us recognize the value of a mother’s contribution to her family, both the paid and unpaid work that women do.<\/p>\n

Our message is simple: all mothers need more support.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

This Mother\u2019s Day we want to get the word out about our ideas, our work, and our priorities.<\/strong> We offer the following list to provide resources for real information<\/strong> and places for women to gather for intelligent discourse<\/strong> on the many problems \u2014 and solutions \u2014 to the issues facing mothers and families.<\/p>\n

We offer this list as an alternative to the tired and cliched coverage of mothers<\/strong> in the mainstream media.<\/p>\n

Please join your voice with ours this Mother’s Day. Together, Mothers are powerful.<\/p>\n
