It got play in media outlets including USA Today, Today Show, ABC World News, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2008\/09\/25\/AR200809%202504167.html?wpisrc=newsletter\">The Washington Post<\/a>.  Among the findings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In 43% of all couples it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the woman who makes decisions in more areas than the man.\n<\/li>\n<li>By contrast, men make more of the decisions in only about a quarter (26%) of all couples.\n<\/li>\n<li>About three-in-ten couples (31%) split decision-making responsibilities equally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From Pew&#8217;s website comes this zinger:  &#8220;They say it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s world. But in the typical American family, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the woman who wears the pantsuit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve known this for a while now, but there is much in the study that also looks new.  For instance, on a totally different topic related to gender and power, the survey asked whether people are more comfortable dealing with a man or with a woman in a variety of positions of authority \u00e2\u20ac\u201c doctor, banker, lawyer, police officer, airline pilot, school teacher and surgeon.  The answer?
