She begins by offering 10 nice things first, as follows:<\/p>\n

Ten Nice Things to Say About Sarah Palin: <\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a lifelong NRA member and crack rifle-woman, but hasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t yet sho<\/a>t a single person in the face.<\/a> <\/li>\n
  2. She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s so unafraid of power that a majority-Republican legislative committee is investigating her abuse of it. <\/li>\n
  3. She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s broad-minded, willing to have evolution taught alongside<\/em> creationism.<\/li>\n
  4. <\/a>She<\/a> gives \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the personal is political\u00e2\u20ac\u009d new meaning: Axing the public-safety commissioner for not firing her ex-brother-in-law (Trooper-gate); firing \u00e2\u20ac\u0153foes\u00e2\u20ac\u009d suspected of \u00e2\u20ac\u0153disloyalty\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (Library-gate).<\/li>\n
  5. She knows how to delegate, involving \u00e2\u20ac\u0153First Dude\u00e2\u20ac\u009d husband Todd in more governmental decisions than any male<\/em> politician\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s spouse has dared since Hillary tried to give us healthcare in 1993. (First Dude\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s defying a subpoena from those meanies mentioned up in #2.) <\/li>\n
  6. She has executive experience: As mayor of Wasilla, then-constituency 5,000 souls, she presided over a population almost as vast as that of some urban high-schools.<\/li>\n
  7. She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s an existentialist: Bridge-to-Nowhere-gate, Highway-to-Nowhere-gate. She never \u00e2\u20ac\u0153focused much on Iraq\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00e2\u20ac\u201dafter all, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the war is part of God\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s plan\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00e2\u20ac\u201dand she dismisses McCain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s reluctance to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge as being like \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Eastern politicians\u00e2\u20ac\u009d about environment. (Check out Wasilla\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s dead-Lake-Lucille-gate<\/a>.) <\/li>\n
  8. She brings home the earmarked bacon\u00e2\u20ac\u201dplus moose, caribou, wolf, and any other animal stumbling haplessly across her rifle-sight as she leans out of the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dccopter on another heli-hunt. But!<\/em> Does she rely solely on godless government for her $500 million U.S.-subsidized natural-gas pipeline? No!<\/em> Last June, at the Pentecostal Assembly of God Church, she declared, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153God’s will has to be done to get that gas line built!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d <\/li>\n
  9. She displays refreshing curiosity, as when she asked, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153What is it exactly the VP does?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t scoff: Are you<\/em> smarter than a 5th grader?) <\/li>\n
  10. She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s multi-talented\u00e2\u20ac\u201dstudied journalism, tried sportscasting, can slickly scan a teleprompter (unlike her running-mate). She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a jock (Sports-Complex-gate.) She was a beauty queen (as all of McCain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s wives were; how \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbout that?<\/em>) She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s patriotic\u00e2\u20ac\u201dwell, except for attending that secessionist Alaska Independent Party conference during the seven years<\/em> when First Dude was a party member pulling down DWI convictions on the side. Best of all, she\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a born-again feminist, a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153feminist for life.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Which I guess makes me a feminist for death.<\/li>\n

    <\/ol>\n

    Morgan then offers “<\/span>Ten Blunt-Crayon Hints for the Media”<\/span>–including tips like “Do<\/em> investigate Palin\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s opposition to listing polar bears and other animals as endangered. Do not<\/em> call her one: no chick, bird, kitten, bitch, hen, cow. Also no produce: tomato, peach, etc.” And finally shares her list of:<\/p>\n

    Ten Reasons You CANNOT Support McCain-Palin<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Yourself. Do not cut off your womb to spite the Democrats. (Also do not sit this election out or play write-in-vote games. And tempting though it may seem, do not<\/em> blow a vote for the Green Party.) <\/li>\n
    2. Iraq. McCain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s been a hawk since evolution made raptors.<\/li>\n
    3. The Economy. For years McCain chaired the Senate Banking Committee that brought us the current financial meltdown. He opposed the Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which would have made it easier for women and other workers to pursue pay-discrimination claims. (Come to think of it, why the focus solely on equal pay for equal work? Whatever happened to equal pay for comparable<\/em> worth<\/em>?) <\/li>\n
    4. The Supreme Court. McCain vows to stack the court with \u00e2\u20ac\u0153clones of Alito and Roberts.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d There goes . . . well, everything.<\/li>\n
    5. Choice. McCain has lodged 125 anti-choice votes<\/em>. He boasts<\/em> he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll overturn Roe v. Wade<\/em>. And as for the claim that if Roe<\/em> is overturned it will \u00e2\u20ac\u0153merely\u00e2\u20ac\u009d throw reproductive rights back to the states, understand that McCain supports a constitutional amendment that would ban abortion outright, nationwide<\/em>.<\/li>\n
    6. Realism. If you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re a young feminist, do not<\/em> get disillusioned by Obama\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s drift to the middle\u00e2\u20ac\u201ddepressing but standard for winning. Do<\/em> consider running for office\u00e2\u20ac\u201dpolitics is not a spectator sport. And if you still can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t grasp why older feminists zealously backed HRC, please<\/em> read Susan Faludi\u00e2\u20ac\u02dcs brilliant \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Second Place Citizens\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/a> for context. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s crucial. <\/li>\n
    7. Old Wounds. Remember that McCain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s answer to a supporter asking him about Hillary, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153How do we beat the bitch?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d was \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Good question!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Remember that at the Sturgis motorcycle rally, McCain mortified his wife by saying she should enter the Topless Miss Buffalo Chip contest. Remember that, responding to a comment Cindy made about his thinning hair, he guffawed, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153At least I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t plaster on makeup like a trollop, you c**t.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/li>\n
    8. Palin. McCain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s pick of Palin demonstrates contempt for American women and insults the intelligence of anyone who supported Hillary, since Palin is her (melting) polar opposite. It denigrates qualified Republican women (Senators Snow, Collins, Dole, and Hutchinson must be suffering silent apoplexy). It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s actually abuse of Palin herself, a sacrifice tossed to the ravenous fundamentalist base, now the butt of public humiliation for her abysmal lack of qualifications.<\/li>\n
    9. Feminism\u00e2\u20ac\u201dremember that? McCain-Palin politics are antithetical to every feminist policy most U.S. women support. Palin is an anti-abortion-rights, pro-\u00e2\u20ac\u0153abstinence only\u00e2\u20ac\u009d enemy of sex education and stem-cell research who denounced as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153outrageous\u00e2\u20ac\u009d the state supreme court\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s decision to strike down Alaska\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s parental-consent statute; who believes survivors of sexual assault and incest should be forced to bear the attackers\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 fetuses to term; who let Wasilla charge survivors for rape kits and forensic exams; who cut funding for teen-pregnancy services; who stated she\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d oppose abortion for her daughters even if they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d been raped; who\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s against same-sex marriage (because such love is \u00e2\u20ac\u0153curable\u00e2\u20ac\u009d) and against gun control\u00e2\u20ac\u201dbut apparently all for<\/em> shotgun weddings (poor Bristol\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s gonna marry that dork, like it or not). <\/li>\n
    10. Settling for Greatness. Sure, we wanted to vote for the right woman. Sure, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll have to wait a bit longer for her. Meanwhile, in Obama we can have a chief executive who reflects our politics, and who\u00e2\u20ac\u201despecially since he may have both houses of Congress behind him\u00e2\u20ac\u201djust might turn out to be one hell of a great president.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
