Women Living with Incurable STDs<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/em>, Nack has\u00a0published articles and essays on topics including\u00a0STD stigma, sex education, and\u00a0HIV\/AIDS. She has written for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.msmagazine.com\/winter2010\/menshealth.asp\"><em>Ms.<\/em> Magazine<\/a>,\u00a0her academic articles have been\u00a0reprinted in over\u00a0a dozen anthologies, and she has won awards for her research, teaching, activism, and public policy work.<\/p>\n<p>As a medical sociologist, sex educator, and sexual health researcher, Nack has\u00a0been seen and heard in MTV documentaries, CBS&#8217;s\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=su7Hcdt3Irs\"><span style=\"font-style: normal;\">The Doctors<\/span><\/a><\/em>, local and regional <a href=\"http:\/\/www.venturacountystar.com\/news\/2008\/aug\/25\/sexual-diseases-subject-of-book\/\">newspapers<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ventanamonthly.com\/article.php?id=342&amp;IssueNum=32\">magazines<\/a>, and interviewed on\u00a0a variety of\u00a0radio programs, including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kclu.org\/player\/index.php?story_id=312\">NPR<\/a> and FOX News Radio shows. She gives talks and workshops to a variety of audiences: e.g., college students, national academic associations, and national youth pastor conferences. Always focused on how academic research can inform real-life solutions to social problems, she addresses a range of topics: including how to have better sex in a world with STDs,\u00a0the personal and public health implications of mixing morality with medicine,\u00a0HPV\u00a0vaccines, pop culture, and youth culture.<\/p>\n<p>In the past, Nack has directed the University of Colorado&#8217;s Sexual Health Education Program, been a professor at the University of Maine, and served as a reviewer for top academic journals and the National Science Foundation. Currently she is a tenured\u00a0Professor of Sociology at <a href=\"www.callutheran.edu\">California Lutheran University<\/a>, where she directed their Gender and Women&#8217;s Studies Program and currently serves as\u00a0Director of their Center for Equality and Justice and\u00a0Chair of the Sociology Department.
