Forrest Lovette<\/a>‘s new Discovery, Volunteering or Vacationing?<\/a> covers research by Netta Kahana<\/a> on the shifting public opinions about combining travel with volunteering activities\u2013practices, known widely as volunteer tourism or sometimes \u201cvoluntourism\u201d.\u00a0The research found that the participants shared positive self-evaluations of their characters and used them to dispel any perceived judgments from society that might be raised about their participation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
