The institute is being held here on the SJSU campus July 17-31, 2016. This morning I attended a lecture on\u00a0U.S. immigration by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.utsc.utoronto.ca\/hcs\/donna-gabaccia\" target=\"_blank\">Donna Gabaccia<\/a>, a former colleague at the University of Minnesota. On Saturday I hope to join a walking tour of immigrant San Francisco that will be led by SJSU History Professor (and Department Chair)<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sjsu.edu\/people\/glen.gendzel\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Glen Gendzel<\/a>.
