A recent\u00a0SSRC research report\u00a0&#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssrc.org\/to-secure-knowledge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;To Secure Knowledge: Social Science Partnerships for the Common Good&#8221;<\/a> &#8212; argues that social science research faces serious threats from reduced federal funding and the public&#8217;s skepticism about data. The report includes recommendations\u00a0such as creating a central database for public and private social data, and forging new public-private funding relationships.
