expectation of privacy?<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2013\/06\/08\/technology\/tech-companies-bristling-concede-to-government-surveillance-efforts.html?_r=0&amp;pagewanted=all\" target=\"_blank\">While handing over data in response to a legitimate FISA request is a legal requirement, making it easier for the government to get the information is not<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/m\/story?id=19351646\">No document like this has ever been leaked from the NSA<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/jwherrman\/direct-access-is-the-defining-phrase-of-the-nsa-scandal\" target=\"_blank\">a lack of &#8216;direct access&#8217; does not preclude the type of sweeping surveillance described in the leaks<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/googleblog.blogspot.com.au\/2013\/06\/what.html\" target=\"_blank\">As Google\u2019s CEO and Chief Legal Officer, we wanted you to have the facts<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/uncrunched.com\/2013\/06\/07\/cowards\/\" target=\"_blank\">So\u2026much\u2026false\u2026indignation.<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/bensmith\/public-documents-contradict-claim-email-spying-foiled-terror\" target=\"_blank\">a long line of attempts to defend secret programs by making, at best, misleading claims that they were central to stopping terror plots<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.foreignpolicy.com\/posts\/2013\/06\/07\/the_prism_spin_war_has_begun\" target=\"_blank\">Welcome to the PRISM spin war<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thenewamerican.com\/usnews\/constitution\/item\/15373-doj-reports-fisa-court-approved-every-federal-surveillance-request\" target=\"_blank\">much of what is being discussed sounds very similar to the\u00a0Star Chamber,\u00a0an English court of the 14th to 17th centuries that met in secret<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.schneier.com\/blog\/archives\/2013\/06\/the_problems_wi_3.html\" target=\"_blank\">As the FBI sees it, the problem is that people are moving away from traditional communication systems like telephones onto computer systems like Skype<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Interdome\/status\/342589328096104448 \" target=\"_blank\">Everyone is always guilty, and you&#8217;re not allowed to know about it<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/2013\/jun\/07\/obama-china-targets-cyber-overseas\" target=\"_blank\">a potentially aggressive cyber warfare doctrine will heighten fears over the increasing militarization of the internet<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/gawker.com\/the-nsa-sent-a-takedown-notice-over-my-custom-prism-log-512085836\" target=\"_blank\">Want to buy a PRISM t-shirt?<\/a>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>Whitney Erin Boesel generates LOTS AND LOTS OF DATA for the NSA to pour over.
