She describes how \u201cthe vast majority of men are only willing to engage in public violence if they feel like the people around them will approve of \u2014 and reward them for \u2014 that violence.\u201d ICE Watch can de-escalate situations by clearly expressing disapproval for violence. textbook to teach introductory courses. <a href=\"https:\/\/matthewmarr.org\/about\/\">Matthew Marr<\/a> (Associate Professor of Sociology at FIU) described the textbook as &#8220;scraped out\u201d and \u201csanitized.\u201d Marr described how the textbook omits key sociological concepts\u2013such as structural racism: \u201cNot only are these omissions an incorrect representation of the field, but they also fail to prepare students for majors and graduate education that require or recommend Introduction to Sociology.\u201d This story was covered by <a Miller-Idriss describes how people may gravitate toward a \u201cprotector\u201d narrative of masculinity in times of economic hardship (when a \u201cprovider\u201d narrative of masculinity is less achievable).
