In a <a href=\"https:\/\/africasacountry.com\/2024\/03\/the-life-and-work-of-edward-webster\">profile <\/a>of his life and work, <a href=\"https:\/\/sociology.berkeley.edu\/alumni-manager\/michael-burawoy\">Michael Burawoy <\/a>(Professor of Sociology at UC Berkeley) wrote that Webster&#8217;s sociological practice is marked by \u201cthe intimate connection between his academic and his public lives: the one inseparable from the other.
