The piece cites multiple studies by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ou.edu\/cas\/soc\/people\/faculty\/samuel-perry\">Samuel L. The article quotes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northumbria.ac.uk\/about-us\/our-staff\/a\/carolina-are\/\">Carolina Are<\/a> (Research Fellow at Northumbria University Newcastle; PhD in Criminology) on how social media shows or hides women\u2019s bodies: \u201cThe most artificial and more mainstream form of involuntary sexualization is represented by celebrities and pushed by the algorithm. But more personal content and content from people who come from more marginal contexts are censored. They found that \u201cneither a narrative of struggle and success nor emancipation fully captures what it\u2019s like to come out today.
