But if you\u2019re a woman in your 20s or 30s, you\u2019ve probably been cornered by at least one relative who tells you your biological clock<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ticking<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. And while Aunt Helen may be right, it turns out there\u2019s at least one big benefit for women who wait to start a family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recent <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/hsb.sagepub.com\/content\/56\/4\/514.abstract\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">research<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> featured in the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Huffington Post<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> indicates that women in their 40s are actually healthier if they have their first child <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">after<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> age 24. Sociologist <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sociology.osu.edu\/people\/williams.2339\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kristi Williams<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and her colleagues followed 3,348 women for nearly 30 years, collecting self-reported health data.
