Only 75 cities in the country have that many residents.

Plus, I’m not sure how anyone can honestly come to the conclusion that everyone in a large town has the same opinion on anything.

But that’s not who shows up to the primaries and not who the politicians are focused on. 2) It makes the claim being for same-sex marriage makes you liberal: shoving libertarians into “liberal” doesn’t work.

Smaller (area) districts are more population-dense, and the outliers in terms of population are Montana-at-large (994,416 people, 147,042 sq mi) and Wyoming-at-large (568,300 people, 97,100 sq mi.)

That’s right, the smallest congressional district by population is the entire state of Wyoming.

As for the politicians, I could see that if I lived in a small, very conservative (or liberal) district, I might think that close to 100% of constituents agreed on a particular issue.
