Objectifying women on rolling stone or hypersexualizing them, makes it a norm to see women as things. There purpose of being scantily clad or in sexual poses is for the male viewers. They are the subjects for which the women on magazines are objects. Before women were hypersexualized in porn…now advertising, music, magazines, shows are all doing it. This encourages a culture of seeing women as things for sexual pleasure.

And then you say that

It seems you are implying a causal link when the study shows none.

I mean, is there any indication that these men would have tested lower on sexism scale if they didn’t have sexy ads and porn in their lives (causal link) ?

If anything, it shows how much the latter group is really projected. If they were aware that it’s nothing the woman’s doing, that it’s simply they themselves feeling a bit horny (which is, after all only human) instead of going all, “She totally asked for it!” we would have a better world.

And wouldn’t it be funny if that photo was really of a man’s shaved butt? If an image of a body part is ambiguous enough to make it impossible to tell for sure if it’s from a male or a female or a category in between but it’s still enough to inspire you to make a mess in your parents’ basement, then it really reveals a whole lot more about you than you probably intended to reveal (my condolences to whoever you end up dating… If you ever actually start dating, that is).
